BLOOM won a Water’s Next Award!

BLOOM has been recognized for their innovative approach to industry’s adoption of sustainable water management.

Kevin Jones, President and CEO of Bloom Centre for Sustainability, took the stage last Thursday night in Vancouver to accept the Water’s Next Award. Water’s Next recognizes companies and individuals across Canada for their hard work and commitment to making safe, healthy water resources a priority.

Water and Wine LogoBLOOM was nominated for this award through the recent launch of Water & Wine (waterandwine.ca). The resource was created in partnership with the Ontario Wine Council, and supported through Growing Forward 2, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative, and the Government of Ontario. It was created to meet the water needs of Ontario winemakers and launched in March of this year. The resource features templates, videos, and detailed plans that allow wineries to manage their water use and wastewater.
